Bible
Each classroom in the elementary department has an A-Beka Bible Curriculum Kit. Each of these kits contains all the necessary materials each teacher needs for the entire school year. Bible is always the first subject of the day because we believe that God is the center of our school. Bible time includes the Pledge to the flag, a patriotic song, Bible hymn and or choruses, memory verse, prayer time and a Bible lesson.
The high school has a devotional time each morning before classes begin.
Language
The elementary classes learn to read through the use of phonics, and learn how to use our language in a proper manner and how to pen our words in the proper way.
High school curriculum is more creative writing, public speaking and communicating through the speaking and writing of our English language.
Mathematics
The elementary classes learn how to count and recognize numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, word problems, etc. are all taught in order to prepare our children for the future.
High school also includes the basic mathematics plus algebra and geometry.
Science
Our science is a Biblical developed curriculum. Science at VCS is taught from a Biblical perspective without apology.
Social Studies
Our social studies curriculum includes: American history, world history and ancient history which includes the many heroes of our faith.
Physical Education
We have physical education classes from kindergarten to senior high. These activities are to help our children develop physically as well as spiritually. We teach the importance of maintaining one's Christian testimony whether in victory or defeat.
