Valley Christian GUIDANCE
At Valley Christian we believe in the importance of helping to guide our students in the direction God would have them to go in. The psalmist said in Psalm 23:8, I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." Their are two main areas in which we try to accomplish this: spiritually and academically. Spiritual guidance take place through several different venues, Bible classes, chapel services and one on one student live meetings. Our student life director meets with the seventh through twelfth grades students several times during the school year. Each teen has a personal schedule which is given in advance of their meeting. Scheduled meetings takes place in the school’s office suite. Every meeting starts with small talk and prayer. The student will then have the opportunity talk about particular issues that he/she may be facing. The meeting usually ends with discussion on a Biblical topic. Academic guidance progressively increases from junior high until the student graduates. Our student life director works side by side with our school principal to make sure that our upcoming graduates have all the necessary credits and courses that are needed in order to continue their education after high school.
